estradiol and males

Estradiol and males- what’s going on?

Question:

Hi,

I read somewhere on the internet that men need  some amount of estradiol in their bodies.

I was just wondering if this is true and if using  AndroForte® will estradiol still be  produced by the body?

Hello A.H.,

What you have read is true.

As men age, testosterone levels decline and estradiol levels increase relative to their testosterone.

This explains the gynoid body shape many older men exhibit (increased fat at abdomen and hips and “man-boobs”).

Adding testosterone (i.e. using  AndroForte® testosterone cream)  does not reduce estradiol production but rather rebalances the ratio of the two hormones.

I suggest you read my blog post on a similar topic:  http://www.hormonesolutions.com/blog/2013/10/does-testosterone-convert-to-estrogen/#sthash.hafnQVNY.dpbs
